DIY Wario Costume - Dyeing the Overalls Purple

For this Greens and Machines blog post, I will be going over the steps I took to make a Wario Costume from off the shelf items. Not nearly as complex as the Coach Z costume, but I am certain someone will want to reference this post later when they go to make a costume.

How do you put together a costume of my favorite character from the Super Mario universe? It is less complex than you'd think.

There are 4 main pieces to the Wario Costume (and a few extras, but those aren't critical).

The Hat

The Gloves

The Shoes

The Shirt and Overalls

For this post, I'll be going over dyeing the overalls. For the items I needed to sew, the hat and the gloves, read the post here.

5 Ways to use PVC Pipe in your Gardening Projects

Here are several ways you can use PVC pipe in your garden:

1) Trellis for Tomatoes and Peppers

In a big enough yard, you can use PVC pipe to build really big frames. In this garden I once attended to I used some smaller diameter pipe to act as a stake to allow the longer and wider diameter pipe to stand upright. Once the structure is standing, some string or other method of tying plants up can be used to keep plants upright. Read more about it here.

What I Learned about Gardening in 2020

For this I'm only going to be discussing the container garden and hydroponic garden I'm maintaining at my house. You can watch my vineyard harvest video to see how my year went with that sector.
2020 has been a long year filled with challenge and adversity. But we as a species are good at adapting for the given scenario. Likewise, gardening took on a whole new found interest and popularity with the general populace confined to their homes. But in any case I'll discuss that along with what I've learnt from my gardening experience this year.

Planting Peppers in a Kitty Litter Container | Container Gardening

My landlord had thrown out some kitty litter containers. Now instead of going to the recycling center, I snagged them. These kitty litter containers are perfect to re-purpose into a container garden! Not only did they previously hold food grade safe material, they are around 5 gallons in total volume, which can support the growth of most plants. Let me show you how to grow vegetables in this container.

Gardener IRL reacts to Old School RuneScape Farming

If you haven't noticed from some of our blog posts and design inspirations, we played a lot of RuneScape in the past. Back in 2005 when we first played, Jagex revealed the farming skill. At first I was a bit put aback by it because who on earth would want to grow virtual vegetables when you can do it outside. Well, the skill was fairly popular, a little addicting, and a good moneymaker in RuneScape itself. And eventually after that, Farmville and Farming Simulator were created and released so that answers my question regarding the genre.

Here are the main points of the video:

Khachapuri | The Next Avocado Toast?

I was recently introduced to this dish after browsing an online image board. After seeing how it looked and what was in it, I had to bake it. Some research later and I had already gone off to buy the cheese.

If you can identify as one of the following, I recommend closing your browser now and looking at a different web page:
Vegan
Gluten intolerant
Lactose intolerant

What you may see may offend you. I deeply apologize that you will not get to enjoy eating this wonderful creation. With that out of the way, let's talk about this dish. Or click here to skip ahead on how to make it.
