How to Make Turkey Chili | Meal Prep Recipe

In the quest to find some good meal prep recipes, I came across this one by none other than Scooby1961 himself. It was for Beef and Bean Chili and it looked easy to make. At the time though I had some leftover ground Turkey from my Thanksgiving feast in my freezer so I adapted the recipe to create some great chili. Check the video above for the walkthrough and read below for the recipe:

TURKEY CHILI
Adapted from Beef and Bean Chili from Custommealplanner.com

1 Cup Black Beans
1 1/2 Cup Pinto Beans

1 lb turkey
2 Green Bell peppers, large
1 Onion, White, Large
4lbs Tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup Chicken Broth

5 tablespoons Chili Powder
1 1/3 tablespoons Turmeric
1 1/3 tablespoons Oregano
1 2/3 tablespoons Garlic Powder

1) Soak the beans over night
2) Cook the beans until they are tender (1 - 2 hours). Drain the water
3) Dice and onions and peppers and brown with the turkey in a skillet
4) Dice the tomatoes and add to the pot with the beans
5) Add the chicken broth to the tomatoes and beans and simmer for 30 minutes
6) Stir in the spices to the beans, tomato, and spice pot.
7) Stir in the turkey, peppers, and onions
8) Cook for about 20 minutes before portioning out the chili.
