Grapevine Acquisitions and Vineyard Update Year 5 April 2019

Now that all the grapevines are out of dormancy, it's time to take a look at them and predict how the season will go.

All the vines look awesome, and you can get a more indepth look at all the growth by watching the update video. Here are some photos of the different regions.
For the results of the propagation experiment, as you can see here, all 4 of the cuttings I took have started growing from the nodes. Looks like a success to me. My buddy's cuttings aren't looking too good right now, but I believe that the nodes will eventually develop and several will make it.

Finally, for my new additions to my vineyard,
I picked up 3 new vines, two Cabernet Sauvignon and this vine called Zweigelt. I do not know much about that varietal but from what I can tell, it originated in Austria and is the most commonly grown varietal in that country. I will be planting these in containers sometime soon.
So that's today's update of my vineyard, make sure you subscribe to Greens and Machines on YouTube and follow our blog so you don't miss out on any of the progress of my vineyard. Until next time!
