Genovese Basil

This is the basil you grow if you want to make pesto. My seeds seem to germinate reliably, and this basil really develops well indoors under the grow lights. Will be cloning this variety off to populate the garden.

When to plant: Grow this variety of basil during spring and summer in cooler climates. Plant year round in warm climates.

How to grow: Plant seeds directly or sow indoors for transplanting. Can be grow in soil and in hydroponic systems.

How to harvest: Harvest individual leaves as needed. Harvest the shoots as plant grows big. Pinch off flowering stems to encourage additional leaf growth.
